HQ Kites & Design -Neo II

The NEO II is designed for riders crossing over from water to wheels and snow who require the versatility and durability of a water relaunchable foil kite. For 2010, the NEO II has evolved to provide faster, tighter turning and an increased depower range with more pop for higher jumps. Larger intake valves allow quicker ram-air inflation. Riders will appreciate the redesigned molded chicken loop and the new TDS (Total Depower Safety) flagging line that provides an increased level of safety and simplified self-landing. The new backpack is even more technical and offers attachment points for all kinds of boards, ...<< MORE >>

HQ Kites & Design - MONTANA V

Snow has been falling in some parts of the country. The "white" gold
is about to take over powerkiting activities for many of us. The
all-new Montana V is about to be released. HQ expects their first batch
around mid November, just in time for this years snowkite season.

Designer Tom Bourdeau has worked his magic again. With general
performance improvments such as increased depower, quicker turning
speed and increased flying speed, the brand-new molded chicken loop is
what people will notice first. Tom intentionally constructed the canopy
without stiff mylar laminate sail cloth in order to better absorb gusts
for greater stability.

The Salsa is a real dancer. It is easy to control and will surprise beginners and advanced pilots.-Salsa

Salsa

The Salsa is a real dancer. With the Salsa pilots receive a fairly
large and robust sport kite, equipped with ripstop nylon and a frame of
carbon-fibreglass-hybrid tubes.

This enables the Salsa to develop its precise, smooth and reliable
flying characteristics in a wide wind range. The Salsa is easy to
control and will surprise beginners and advanced pilots with its high
potential of trickablity.

In spite of it's fairly large wingspan the Salsa packs up quite
small and is ideal for travel and vacation. Excellent price-performance
ratio.

Lets not forget about Dual Lines!

Two weeks ago I had the opportunity to teach a couple beginner Kiters how to fly a dual line sport kite.  It was a refreshing experience because much of my time flying always seems to involve a quad line kite of some sort.  The two newbies were flying two different sport kites.  one was a HQ Salsa and the other was a HQ Bolero.  I was really impressed by the way these two kites had flown.  They Tracked well and responded even better.  They were also  priced reasonably.  These Sport kites definely receive two thumbs up from me.
